7. Charades for Kids

Overview: The classic game of Charades – now designed especially for kids to play and enjoy! With three levels of clues, each card has one pictured clue, so no reading is required (although the combination of the picture and its corresponding word reinforces early reading skills). Younger players can act out a toothbrush, a cat or a bumblebee. Older children can read the simple words and phrases and act out actions like eating spaghetti or playing guitar! It’s great fun for the whole family as they try to guess the charade before time runs out!

8. Spot It!

Overview: Spot it! is played with 55 circular cards, each decorated with eight symbols varying in size and orientation. There are more than 50 symbols in all, including random yet universal images of hearts, snowflakes, dragons, and lightning bolts, and even words such as Stop and OK. The aim of the game is to be the first to spot the one symbol in common between two or more cards. Don’t be fooled! It’s not as simple as it sounds. A match is easily hidden in the array, especially with the pressure of racing frantically against your opponents. The cards change with every match made, so you have to stay focused to keep up. Every match will fuel your fire and agonizing over getting beat to the punch by a faster player only adds to the overall excitement.

Play continues as each player plugs in one piece during a turn.Whenever a player is unable to place one of his remaining pieces on the board, that player must pass his turn. 11.PictureKa!

Overview: Pictureka! is a new kind of game, both in mechanic as in artwork. The mechanic is invigorating with its large square gaming tiles. The game board is composed of 3 by 3 game tiles, so the game board on which is played is a huge square of 63 cm x 63 cm. This is large enough for several players to be able to play the game at the same time. The game board is “alive”, it is not a static board as the tiles are flipped over, turned and moved. So it is not possible to memory map the board. The mechanic of an ever changing board makes it not only fun; also the challenge is kept into the game all the time. Players will have to throw a color dice at the beginning of their turn. According to the color thrown (3 possibilities) they must draw a mission card of the same color. There are 3 kinds of missions. Be the first one to have successfully accomplished 10 missions. Each successful mission gives 1 point, so be the first one to get 10 points.
