1. Jenga

Jenga

Overview: Players take turns removing one block at a time from a tower constructed of 54 blocks. Each block removed is then placed on top of the tower, creating a progressively more unstable structure. Once the tower is built, the person who built the tower gets the first move. Moving in Jenga consists of taking one, and only one, block from any level (except the one below the incomplete top level) of the tower and placing it on the topmost level to complete it. Only one hand should be used at a time when taking blocks from the tower. Blocks may be bumped to find a loose block that will not disturb the rest of the tower. Any block that is moved out of place must be returned to its original location before another block is removed. The turn ends when the next person to move touches the tower or after ten seconds, whichever occurs first. The game ends when the tower falls, or if any piece falls from the tower other than the piece being knocked out to move to the top. The winner is the last person to remove and place a block successfully.

2. UNO Stacko

UNO Stacko

Overview: Uno Stacko is played in a similar style to Jenga. a player pulls a block and places it on the top of the tower, the colour and number or symbol of that block determines what colour or number or symbol of the block the next player should pull out. For instance, if a player rolls Yellow 4, the player must pull a block which is either yellow or bears the number 4. When “Reverse” is pulled, the direction of play is reversed. “Draw Two” forces the player to pull any two blocks and place them on the top of the tower. Skip blocks pass the play to the player next to the next player. When a Purple Wild block is pulled by a player, that player names the colour of the block the next player should pull out. As in Jenga, the game ends when the tower collapses and the person whose last move did not cause the collapse wins.

4. Taboo

Overview: Six or more players are divided up into two teams, with one team referred to as Team A and the other team referred to as Team B. 504 cards are placed in the card holder and Team A selects a person in their group to be the Clue-giver. This person takes the card holder and places the first card away from his team so that they cannot see it. Clue cards have the clue word on the top of the card and the taboo words listed below the clue word. Clue-givers then start and keep the timer and must get their team to say the guess-word on the card without using one of the taboo words in one of their clues. If a taboo word is used then Team B must sound the buzzer which penalizes Team A by causing the current guess card to go into the discard pile.Play is continued until time runs out. Each time a teammate successfully guesses a clue-word, a new card is placed upon the old and each card in this pile represents one point for Team A.
